- GATINEAU RÉAMÉNAGEMENT D'UN CENTRE COMMERCIAL:
Situé à Gatineau, à l'emplacement de l'Initiateur, ce projet est déjà en
cours. Un magasin de la bannière S3, gérée par le groupe Forzani, également
propriétaire de la chaîne Sports Experts, a ouvert le 13 août dans un local de
plus de 5000 pc. Quelques magasins seront aussi rénovés, si ce n'est déjà fait,
tels Le Pacha, Bijouterie Doucet, Petrocelle et Cité. D'autres, comme Snacks et
Bo-Ka-Do, ont été relocalisés. Dynamite doublera sa superficie en déménageant
dans un nouveau local dès la fin du mois d'août 2008. Extension et Style, ainsi
qu'Ongles Modernes, ont agrandi leur surface de vente. Plusieurs magasins ont
approché la direction des Promenades de l'Outaouais pour s'établir dans le grand
local de 36 000 pc laissé vacant par Métro. Pour l'instant, rien n'est conclu

- GRANBY CONSTRUCTION D'UNE USINE DE TRI-COMPOSTAGE: Situé
à Granby, dans le parc industriel, ce projet évalué entre 35 000 000 $ et 42
000 000 $ est en attente du rapport final de la Corporation de la gestion
résiduelle de la Haute-Yamaska (COGEMRHY) (attente du rapport final).
Différents lots de demandes de soumissions pourraient être lancés à partir de
l'automne 2008. Les travaux pourraient commencer au printemps ou à l'automne
2009. La fin des travaux est prévue pour la fin 2010. Le projet permettra le
traitement des matières résiduelles de la MRC de la Haute-Yamaska, qui produira
du compost qualité AA et A, ainsi que le traitement des 23 000 tonnes des boues
usées provenant de l'usine d'épuration des eaux de la ville de Granby. - Promoteur/Ingénieur: BPR TERREAU QC
- MONTRÉAL RENOUVELLEMENT DE L'AIRE D'EXPOSITION D'UN INSECTARIUM:
Situé à Montréal, ce projet a été approuvé à la rencontre du comité
exécutif du 6 août 2008. On vise la réalisation des plans et devis, ainsi que
la surveillance des travaux du projet de renouvellement de l'aire d'exposition de
l'Insectarium de Montréal. Ce projet a pour objectif de revoir l'aménagement de
certains espaces et d'actualiser partiellement le concept muséologique et
muséographique du musée. Un contrat au montant de 344 698 $, a été octroyé à
"Lupien & Matteau Inc." -

- MONTRÉAL RESTAURATION D'UN TERRAIN CONTAMINÉ:
Situé à Montréal, ce projet est en attente d'autorisations au ministère
de l'environnement. Les travaux visent la restauration d'un terrain contaminé.

- MURDOCHVILLE EXPLOITATION D'UN SITE PÉTROLIER: Situé à 10 km de
Murdochville, ce projet est évalué à 20 000 000 $ sur 5 ans. Une société
pétrolière qui souhaite taire son identité, s'associe à Pétrolia. On vise à
produire 5% du pétrole est consommé au Québec d'ici 5 ans. Des levées sismiques
en 3 dimensions auront lieu en septembre 2008. Par la suite, si les prévisions
se confirment, un puit de 3000 mètres sera foré à l'hiver ou au printemps 2009.
Notez que parallèlement, Pétrolia investira 5 000 000 $ à sa propriété

- KAMLOOPS NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT: Located in Kamloops, on
the South Shore, this project (Mission Hill) is underway. The plan calls for

- PETITCODIAC RIVER RESTORATION:
Located in Petitcodiac, this project
(Petitcodiac River) is estimated at $68 000 000. The three-phase project will
receive $20 000 000 in funding from the provincial government. Tender is
expected in Summer 2008 and construction is slated to begin in early Fall 2008.
Phase 1 will include planning, erosion protection and remediation work; Phase 2
will consist of restoring the river’s flow; and Phase 3 will see the
construction of a 280-m bridge. NB
- SAINT JOHN NEW TOWNHOUSE COMPLEX: Located in Saint John, at 7 Pokiok Rd., this
project received rezoning approval. The plans call for the construction of a
new 3-storey townhouse complex comprising six units. - Initiator: MATRIX MANAGEMENT INC. NS
- HALIFAX NEW TOWER BUILDING: Located in Halifax, at the corner of South
Park & Brenton streets, this project was approved by regional council in
June 2008. The plan calls for the construction of a new 19-storey building. NS
- SHELBURNE NEW MULTI-PURPOSE RECREATIONAL FACILITY:
Located in Shelburne County, this project is at the feasibility stage. A
needs assessment study, estimated at $50 000, will probably be conducted in
Fall 2008. The plan calls for the construction of a new multi-purpose
recreational facility that will include an indoor pool. The renovation of
existing facilities is also being considered.

- GEORGETOWN MEDICAL CENTRE EXPANSION: Located in Georgetown, on Princess Anne Dr.
adjacent to the hospital, this project (Georgetown Medical Centre) is slated to
begin in early 2009. Site plan approval is required. The two-phase plan calls
for the expansion of a medical centre by 18 000 sqft. The first phase would see
the addition of a 10 000-sqft third floor on the existing footprint of the
building. The second phase would involve the expansion of the first and second

- HALTON HILLS NEW MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT: Located in Halton Hills, between 10 and Five
Sideroads from Ninth Line to Trafalgar Rd., this project is at the planning
stage. A public consultation process is slated to begin in September 2008. The
plan calls for the construction of a new mixed-use development on 2 000 acres. - Initiator: GEORGETOWN COMMONS ON
- NORTH YORK NEW CONDOMINIUM BUILDING: Located in North York, at Avondale Ave. and
Bales Ave., southeast of Sheppard Ave. and Yonge St., this project is at the
planning stage. The plan calls for the construction of an 11-storey, 65-unit
condominium building. - Initiator: BBT

- PARRY SOUND NEW CONDOMINIUM BUILDING: Located in Parry Sound, on the west side of
Tower Hill, just off of Great North Rd., this project is slated to begin in
late 2008. Rezoning is required. The plan calls for the construction of a new
5-storey, 81-unit condominium building with indoor parking. The units will
range from 1 000 to 1 500 sqft. -

- CHARLOTTETOWN AQUATIC COMPLEX UPGRADES: Located in Charlottetown, on the University
of Prince Edward Island campus, this project (CARI centre) estimated at $299
400 is currently underway. It was funded through the Municipal Rural
Infrastructure Fund (MRIF) . Works include the installation of pushbutton
Daktronics, touch pads, lane dividers/covers, darken windows to reduce light
reflection, a 3-m diving board, pool lighting, and a surface agitation system. SK
- DEBDEN NEW SENIORS PERSONAL CARE HOME: Located in Debden, this
project estimated at $1 300 000 is underway, with completion expected in late
December 2008. The plan calls for the construction of a 20-bed, two-storey
seniors personal care home. -

downtown area, this project is at the planning stage. The plan calls for new

this project is underway. The plan calls for the redevelopment of the zero
block of River St. to make way for the construction of a new hotel / shopping
project. A refitted 1950's city bus will also be installed on the street corner
to serve as a tourism information booth.

Situé à Chelsea, sur le site du Nordik- Spa en Nature, ce projet (Centre
Orchidée de l'Outaouais) vient de débuter. Il sera accrédité par la Fédération
Québécoise des Massothérapeutes Agréés (FQM). Si tout va bien, les premiers
étudiants feront leur entrée dès septembre 2008. La nouvelle école de formation
professionnelle comportera 3 principaux volets. Le 1e sera réservé au public en
général, le 2e à la formation professionnelle, alors que le 3e permettra aux
massothérapeutes d'approfondir leurs connaissances grâce à de la formation

- COATICOOK AGRANDISSEMENT D'UN CENTRE MÉDICAL:
Situé à Coaticook, ce projet est évalué à 2 500 000 $. On vise à
agrandir la place JR Lefebvre, située au centre-ville, et y loger une clinique
et une pharmacie dès l'automne 2008. Le nouveau centre médical comptera 12

- STE-PERPÉTUE CONSTRUCTION D'UNE RÉSIDENCE POUR AÎNÉS:
Situé à Ste-Perpétue, ce projet est évalué à 4 000 000 $. Il a débuté en
avril 2008 et l'ouverture est prévue en novembre 2008. L'édifice de 3 étages
abritant la Villa St-Charles comprendra 30 logements, soit des studios, des 2
½, 3 ½ et 4 ½ pièces. Plusieurs services seront offerts tels salon Internet,
salle de conditionnement physique, restaurant, bureau médical comprenant une
infirmière et des préposé(e)s d'expérience. AB
- CALGARY NEW MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT: Located in Calgary, this project (Stanley
Square) estimated at $10 000 000 is at the planning stage. The plan calls for
the construction of an office, condominium and retail development. - Initiator: CHA INC. AB
- INNISFAIL NEW COMMUNITY HALL: Located in Innisfail, at the corner of the
Little Red Deer Rd. & Range Rd. 21, this project (Oklahoma Community
Centre) received $50 000 in funding from the provincial government. Site
preparation is underway. Work is slated to reach completion in 2009. The
multi-phase plan calls for the construction of a new community hall at the site
of the former Oklahoma School, which was recently demolished. Phase One is

- ROCKY VIEW NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT: Located in Rocky View
M.D., along Highway 8, this project is at the planning stage. The plan calls

- BRITISH COLUMBIA NEW HYDROELECTRIC POWER DEVELOPMENT :
Located in the lower Klinaklini River, this project is currently
undergoing an environmental assessment process. Provincial approval is expected
in July 2008. Completion of the project is expected in 2016. The scope of the
work includes the construction of a 17-km long, 10-m diameter tunnel to bring
the water to the generators; the construction of a powerhouse which will house
eight Pelton turbines; the construction of a 180-km, 230 kV transmission line
to Campbell River; and roadwork. -

- CHILLIWACK BARN RECONSTRUCTION: Located in Chilliwack, on Upper Prairie Rd.,
this project estimated at approx. $500 000 has not been confirmed yet. Works
would involve the reconstruction of a chicken barn destroyed by fire in May

- COLDSTREAM NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT: Located in Coldstream
District, this project is on hold pending municipal approvals, i.e. rezoning
and Official Community Plan amendment. A public hearing was held on June 9,
2008 to discuss the applications. The plan calls for the construction of a new
79-unit multi-family development on 7.9 acres.

- CUMBERLAND NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT: Located in Cumberland,
this project (Coal Valley Estates – Phase 5) is at the planning stage. Village
council gave first reading to OCP and zoning amendments for a property behind
the north side of Camp Rd., running up beyond the top of Egremont. Phase Four received
second reading. The multi-phase plan calls for a new residential development.
Phase Four involves the development of 98 units in fourplexes and 34
single-family homes. Phase 5 includes the construction of approx. 850 units. A
total of over 1 000 units are planned for Phases 4 and 5 combined. - Initiator: COAL VALLEY ESTATES BC
- DUNCAN NEW MIXED-USE BUILDING: Located in Duncan, at Canada Ave. and Trunk
Rd., this project (The Savoy Condominiums) is at the site acquisition stage.
Construction is slated to begin in Summer 2008. The plans call for the
construction of a new four-storey residential commercial building with a

- LOWER NICOLA NEW SLAUGHTERHOUSE: Located in Lower Nicola, Initiator’s site,
this project (Kuiper Ranch) has been halted by TNRD representatives. The
building was deemed too close to nearby houses. The plan calls for the
construction of a new slaughterhouse. -

- NORTH VANCOUVER NEW RESIDENTIAL UNITS: Located in North Vancouver, on 15th St., this
project is underway. The plan calls for the construction of new residential

- POWELL RIVER NEW ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY / NEW RESIDENTIAL UNITS: Located
in Westview, between Manson Ave. and Georgia Cres., in the Royal Georgia
subdivision, this project is at the planning stage. City council gave first and
second reading to bylaw amendments. A public hearing was to be held on May 27,
2008. The plan calls for the development of a 56-unit assisted living facility
and 18 residential lots on 5.5 acres. -

- POWELL RIVER NEW SENIORS’ HOUSING DEVELOPMENT: Located in Powell
River, bordering on McGuffie Creek, on the left-hand side of Joyce Ave. just
past Powell River General Hospital, this project is at the planning stage.
Information sessions were held. The plan calls for the construction of a new
seniors’ retirement housing development including a 50-unit independent-living
residence (Creekside Lodge) and 20 cottage-style homes (Creekside Village) on
7.5 acres. The independent-living residence will include an open plan that

- SURREY NEW CONDOMINIUM DEVELOPMENT: Located in East Clayton
area, at 64th Ave. and 194th St., this project (Waterstone) is at the planning
stage. The plan calls for the construction of new condominium units. 171 units
are planned in Phase One. A landscape design including pools and flowing water

- VERNON NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX: Located in South
Vernon, on 19th Ave., 4300-block, this project (Vernon Native Housing Project)
has been approved by city council. The plan calls for the construction of a new
40-unit affordable housing complex. -

- LAC DU BONNET NEW TRANSITIONAL HOUSING/EMERGENCY SHELTER FACILITY:
Located in Lac du Bonnet, along Hwy 11, across from the Glenn Howard
Inn, this project (The Lucci House) is awaiting rezoning approval. A public
hearing was held on April 28, 2008 to discuss the application. The plan calls
for the conversion of a former vet clinic into an 8-unit transitional
housing/emergency shelter facility. -

- CAMBRIDGE NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX: Located in Cambridge,
at 1021 Queenston Rd., this project estimated at $1 200 000 has been completed.

The plan calls for the construction of a 42-unit affordable housing

- NORTH BAY NEW RESORT HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTRE:
Located in North Bay, on Memorial Dr., former Kenroc/Uniroc site, this
project has been approved by city council. A land purchase process is underway.
The plan calls for the construction of a new 135-room resort hotel and 1
100-seat conference centre on a 1.8-ha waterfront site. The project will
involve site remediation work. New full-time jobs will be created. - Initiator: VRANCO ON
- NORTH YORK NEW CONDOMINIUM BUILDING: Located in North York, at Avondale Ave. and
Bales Ave., southeast of Sheppard Ave. and Yonge St., this project is at the
planning stage. The Initiator filed an appeal with the OMB. City council was to
vote on the application on May 26, 2008. A hearing was to be held on June 23,
2008. The plan calls for the construction of a 11-storey, 65-unit condominium

- ORILLIA MARKET RELOCATION: Located in Orillia, this project (Orillia's
Saturday morning farmers' market) is at the planning stage. The plan calls for
the temporary relocation of a market, which currently sits on the Opera House
parking lot behind the existing Mississaga St. library, which will be
demolished. The market could be relocated on the city hall parking lot during
the construction of a new library. -

- SCARBOROUGH NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT / MALL EXPANSION:
Located in Scarborough, in the Warden and Finch avenues area, this project
is at the planning stage. A public consultation process is underway. The
multi-phase plan calls for the construction of 1 370 condo units in eight
buildings ranging in height from 8 to 30 stories. The expansion of the
Bridlewood Mall from 320 000 sqft to 470 000 sqft is also planned. - Initiator: MALIBU INVESTMENTS INC. ON
- SCARBOROUGH NEW RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT : Located in Scarborough,
in the Markham and Ellesmere roads area, this project is at the planning stage.
The multi-phase plan calls for the demolition of a retail plaza to make way for
the development of six buildings ranging in height from 4 to 32 storeys in a
mix of condos, townhouses and seniors' residences for a total of 1 200 units. ON

receive $25 000 in funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund. The grant

Toronto, this project was rejected by city council. The Initiator filed an
appeal with the OMB, and a hearing is planned. Rezoning is required. The plan
calls for the construction of a new 25-storey apartment building on Montgomery
Ave. Residential buildings are also planned on several blocks. - Initiator: TOP OF TREE DEVELOPMENT ON
- TORONTO PARK UPGRADE: Located in Cedarvale, near Glen Cedar Rd. and
Warwick Ave., this project (Glen Cedar Park) estimated at $150 000 is at the
fundraising stage. Work is slated to begin in 2009. The plan is to upgrade a
park, i.e. acquisition of new playground equipment, resurfacing work and

for the construction of a new 133 500-sqft Wal-Mart store. 719 parking spaces,
a 48-ft x 20-ft horse and buggy shelter and road improvements on King St. at
Hwy 85, including bridge widening and additional turning lanes, are also

- ALBERTON NEW WIND FARM: Located in North Cape area, north of Nelligan
Rd. or Shore Rd., and Norway Rd. and Hogan Rd. on the south side, this project

for the erection of 30 to 50 wind mills. The wind farm is expected to generate

- MOOSE JAW NEW HOTEL/RETAIL DEVELOPMENT: Located in Moose Jaw,
on the zero block of River St., this project is slated to begin in early 2009.
The plan calls for the construction of a new hotel/retail development at the
site of the Royal Hotel, Brunswick Hotel, and Nevada Nickels, which will be
demolished. The project will feature shops along River St. and a 74-100 room
hotel, complete with a coffee shop and steakhouse. An underground parking at
the north end of the street is also planned.

City council approved rezoning changes to allow a mix of shops and

- GIMLI NEW CAMP: Located in Rembrandt, one mile east of Hwy. 7
on Zolinski Rd., just east of the railway tracks, this project (Camp Kan-Do) is
estimated at $12 000 000. Municipal council recently approved roadwork and
additional drainage infrastructure. Work is slated to begin shortly. An open
house was held on April 19, 2008. Rezoning is required. The plan calls for the
construction of a new 120-acre camp for people with disabilities, including a
five-acre lake, baseball diamonds, six private enclaves of cabins, a
self-sustaining garden, a 10-acre petting zoo, a 10-acre riding stable and
compound, a 400-seat amphitheatre and a 40 000-sqft Central Great Hall complete
with dining facilities, gym, indoor pool, library, computer lab and a central
fireplace. The new camp would house 200 campers. Work on Zolinski Rd. from Hwy
7 E. and Church Rd. to the east of the property and the installation of two
through-grade culverts on Church Rd. and two additional access driveways from
the main entrance, on the east side of the property along the west side of
